two afternoons with micere mugo

She has a turbulent life, travelling from country to country. Micere Mugo was born in Kenya (1942), was educated there, taught at the University of Nairobi. In the heady days of 1982, when there was an attempted coup in Kenya, she was kicked out of the country and stripped of her citizenship. She was welcomed in Zimbabwe, from one dictatorship to another.

Recently she was back in Kenya for some speaking engagements and Zukiswa Wanner listened to her.
