Department of Education irons out plans to decolonise English

One of the important issues in the field of education and language is the role of the language of the former colonizer (or maybe even more than one language, for instance in The Cameroons). In South Africa you can also think of two foreign languages: English and Afrikaner. The Department of Education is looking for ways to decolonize the teaching of the English language and the set books for literature. Read and hear here more about it.
