Value Added Tax (VAT) is a wellknown tax, used by governments to get some income. Many articles have a price that includes this VAT. Now Kenyan publishers have raised their voices, concerning plans by the Kenya government to keep the VAT on books. Only two countries in Africa have this VAT added to books: Kenya and South Africa.
